Century-old olive trees and pristine lawns graced the courtyard of Opus One since the completion of the winery in 1991. On cool summer mornings, just after the grass has been mowed and dew still clings to the leaves of the olives, visitors are greeted with a distinctly fresh aroma that we have captured in this candle. Scents of green wood and ozone were carefully blended to transport you to the Courtyard of Opus One. Scent notes: Olive Leaves, Rosemary, Grass Marine, Vineyard Soil, Limestone. The Opus One candles are made with a proprietary blend of soy and coconut wax. The rare fragrance oils are all natural, procured from small batch unique sources. The Grand Chai is the first-year barrel cellar for every new vintage of Opus One. Housing 100% new French oak barrels from multiple coopers, the Chai is one of the winery’s most distinctive features. It’s semi-circular shape gives the illusion of infinite rows of barrels. Aromas of cool stone, forest floor, and delicate notes of dart fruit were carefully blended to magically transport you to the iconic Grand Chai at Opus One.
