Guest Policies

Visitation Policy

  1. Charges for all reservations become non-refundable within 48 hours of your confirmed time, but are transferable by contacting the winery.
  2. We are unable to accommodate anyone under the age of 21, including infants and children on the grounds of the winery. ID may be requested.
  3. Pets are not permitted anywhere on the estate, only legitimate service animals (as defined by the American Disabilities Act) are allowed within the winery.
  4. Outside food and beverage is not allowed.
  5. Opus One Winery is a smoke-free property.
  6. We kindly ask that you arrive 5 minutes prior to your designated reservation time. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your tasting experience.
  7. In accordance with California law, we are obliged to refuse service to anyone exhibiting signs of intoxication and we reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.
  8. For the safety of our employees and fellow guests, please obey all speed limit and traffic signs in the driveways and parking areas.
  9. For your own safety, please do not walk on the winery’s grass berms. Walking or standing on the winery walls is also strictly forbidden.
  10. For the safety and privacy of our guests, the use of photography drones is not allowed.
  11. Video and photography for commercial or promotional use is not permitted and all rights are reserved.
  12. For the safety of our guests and to protect our interiors, selfie-sticks cannot be used inside of the winery.
  13. Please don’t leave your bags unattended. We are not responsible for any personal belongings left behind.
  14. We kindly ask that you do not enter the vineyards without a winery guide.  While we use organic farming practices, some materials in use may have proximity delays.
  15. Picking fruit, cutting canes or pulling leaves is not permitted in the vineyard.
  16. As a functioning winery, we cannot guarantee access to all areas. Winery access will vary depending on the time of year and the production schedule.
  17. Proper attire is requested, and footwear is required.
  18. To preserve our artwork and decorative items, please do not touch paintings and wall hangings, or handle items displayed on shelves.
  19. Opus One Winery is part of a living ecosystem, we are not responsible for encounters with local wildlife.
