What is the Opus One Partners’ Room?

The Opus One Partners' Room

The Partners’ Room was named for the two founders whose collaboration across cultures and traditions established Opus One. It is where patrons come to taste the wines, surrounded by art, framed by expansive glass that opens the space to the vineyards beyond. From the moment it was built by architect Scott Johnson, the room was designed to hold that founding spirit, the belief that something extraordinary emerges when different worlds commit to building something together.

That origin has always informed how the space functions. The glass doors and windows that define the room are not incidental. They dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior, connecting the experience of the wine to the land it comes from. You are never entirely inside. The vines are always present.

The Partners’ Room stands as it was built, maintained with the same care and precision applied to every aspect of the Estate. And yet Opus One does not treat longevity as a reason to remain static. History is the foundation, not the ceiling. The evolution of the Partners’ Room reflects that, a space that carries its origin forward, where contemporary California design and classic French sensibility continue to find new alignment.

The Partners’ Room is where the past and future of Opus One meet.
